North American Bengali Conference

Anandabazar Patrika, with its mission to connect with Bengalis and Bangaliana everywhere, was the grand sponsor for the North American Bengali Conference (NABC), 2008 . Instituted in 1980 by the Cultural Association of Bengal, the NABC is a celebration of Bengal’s heritage and a view of its future. After reaching Bengalis across India through the Puja activities and the Puja website anandautsav.com, Anandabazar Patrika connects with the Bengali diaspora worldwide through its presence at this event.

Besides having a stall presence, special issues of Anandabazar Patrika, with lead stories on NABC were printed and circulated on all three days of the conference. The theme of the stall was Bishyer Bangayan.

By bringing together Bengalis from all across the world, this conference aims to kindle their minds in order to create a resurgence of Bengal’s role in the sub-continent as well as in North America. The 28th edition of the conference was held at Toronto, Canada between June 4 - 6, 2008.
